The ION Apex 2024 Harness is a hip harness with medium flex. On a scale of 20, the ION Apex 2024 has a flex index of 8, indicating that the harness provides great freedom of movement with sufficient support. The new Apex is designed with the rider’s health in mind. New for 2024 is the Ergo Pad on the inside of the harness. This Ergo Pad features an integrated channel for the spine, ensuring a perfect fit for the back. The advantage of this design is the prevention of common injuries, reduced pain, and increased comfort. To ensure that the pad fits perfectly for everyone, two different pads are included. Try both and choose the one that feels most comfortable.
ION has used the Curv construction in combination with non-water-absorbing HD_Foam to provide the best fit and excellent distribution of the kite’s power. This combination not only ensures a good fit but also keeps the harness lightweight and prevents water absorption, so the harness doesn’t get heavier in the water. The sides are made slightly more flexible, providing a bit more freedom of movement for rotations or other tricks. The ION Apex 2024 comes with the Spectre Spreader Bar included. This spreader bar distributes the kite’s power across the entire bar and prevents the bar from sliding up or tilting upward, thanks to the proven Curv-Flaps. The ION Apex 2024 also includes a Kite knife.
