The Duotone Volt SLS 2024 Surfboard is one of the first environmentally friendly surfboards on the market that not only features a unique construction but also delivers stunning performance. Duotone has worked in 2024 to develop an environmentally friendly construction – and they’ve succeeded! This year, Duotone has introduced the Concept Blue product line, which exclusively uses materials aimed at reducing the products environmental impact. They utilize a Zero Impact Core, bioresin, cork stringers, and basalt fiber instead of traditional materials. Basalt replaces glass and carbon. This new material is both natural and abundant, sourced from volcanic rock, yet offers comparable qualities to carbon. It’s incredibly strong and provides a highly responsive and lively ride. Surrounding the so-called ‘Zero Impact Core’ is the Innegra Shield, which is incredibly durable and ensures the board has a long lifespan. Under the top layer of the deck, a cork shock absorber is used. Cork provides excellent absorption and rebounds after being compressed. Unlike PVC, cork doesn’t leave visible dents, keeping your surfboard looking fresh for as long as possible.
The Duotone Volt SLS Concept Blue 2024 features a slight elevation around the rails that serve as grab rails. Easily grab your surfboard during jumps or other freestyle tricks or use the rails to land your first board-offs. The Duotone Volt SLS Concept Blue 2024 has a multibox that can be used with Futures Fins. The two side adjustment screws and the removed tab at the back ensure a perfect and snug fit every time. The surfboard comes with inserts for the option to choose between straps or strapless riding.
