The Duotone Soleil has a smaller outline, making it easier to carve from rail to rail for a dynamic and playful ride. The stance is also narrower and specifically tailored to the female body, making it easier to edge, pop, and carve. Additionally, the Soleil has excellent upwind capabilities thanks to the medium rocker, allowing you to easily return to your starting point. New for 2024 is Duotone’s unique Concept Blue construction. The Duotone Soleil is one of the two kiteboards to receive the new environmentally friendly Concept Blue construction. But what makes this construction so eco-friendly? In the construction, two new materials are used: Flax Fiber and Basalt. Flax Fiber is a natural material that is more environmentally friendly and replaces traditional fiberglass. Flax plants can be harvested in as little as 100 days, which means fewer resources are needed to produce the end product. In addition to its eco-friendly properties, Flax Fiber also offers better damping properties compared to fiberglass and has excellent torsional flex characteristics. The Flax fibers are combined with Basalt Fiber, another natural fiber made from volcanic rock, used in the stingers of the Soleil. By combining these two materials, there is more control over the strength and flex properties, increasing the torsional and longitudinal stiffness in the kiteboard, resulting in an overall better and sportier ride while being environmentally friendly! In addition to the renewed Concept Blue construction, the Space Flex tips are back, but for 2024, the window has been made larger for even more comfort. Also, the deck of the tips is asymmetrical for a stiffer heel-side edge, providing a more predictable and linear flex pattern.
